This years crop of Indigenous Year 12 graduates were presented with their official hoodies today – many of the students have been “hanging out” for a jumper since year 8.
Kalem Davis-Wighton was particularly excited.
“I’ve been asking for one of these every single year,” he said.
The graduates future after school is looking bright, with many having plans to dive straight into tertiary study next year – including Nakia Moreton-Stewart, who hopes to study nursing at UOW Batemans Bay. Chloe Towney AKA Kimmy K will be travelling further afield – to Uluru – to pursue her education.
