The Batemans Bay Orchid and Foliage Society will be holding their Spring Show on September 8-9, at the Soldiers Club. It is open from 10am until 6pm on Friday, and on Saturday from 10am until presentation of championship ribbons that starts at 3pm. Entry is free.
This is the second of three shows the club holds each year. There will be plants on the show benches which will enable you to marvel at the flowers of these unique plants that come in all colours, shapes and sizes.
There will be plants for sale and some posies. However, due to the hot summer and cold winter we have been having, the cymbidiums have been slow to flower year which may restrict the number of posies that are available.
There will be a potting demonstration at 11am and 1pm both days for those who have orchids and are not sure how to repot them.
The Batemans Bay Orchid and Foliage Society meets on the first Monday of each month except January at the Soldiers Club from 6.30pm.
