The U13 Boars won the toss and elected to run with a strong gusty wind. However, the Vikings quickly took procession, moved up field and scored a good team try which was duly converted to open the score at 0-7.
Not to be outdone, the Boars came back with Bonnie Brewer taking a quick tap and pass to Ben Fish, who got it on to flanker, JC Lole-Ngarima, who threw a beautiful long pass to flying outside- centre, Jaydon Wolfe, who went straight through the gap and scored a fine try which Ben Fish converted.

Back-rower, JC, seemed to win most of these battles, but neither individual gave any quarter.
Nathan Hogan had a meteoric few minutes to scoot through several Vikings players and score. He was then given the ball by JC, who had fended off his Vikings rival and Nathan then created more space for Dillon Collier backing up to score another good team try, converted by Jaydon Wolfe.
The half-time score was 19-7 to the Boars.
On the turn-around, the Vikings came out firing, especially with the Boars’ JC Lole-Ngarima temporarily off the field for a patch-up.
The Vikings scored quickly and converted, taking the score to 19-14.
Things were looking grim, but Thomas Humphries and Austin Knight took the ball up to them with great determination, admirably followed by second-rowers, Ben Fish and Jonathon Worthy.
Captain and half-back, Bonnie Brewer, then turned on her magic to somehow calve her way through impossible odds to come down centimetres short of the line, set the ruck and get it to JC who scored. Score, 24-14.
The Vikings came back hard and managed to score a good backline try and convert it, making the score a close 24-21, to the Boars.
The Vikings came back and attacked the Boars’ line hard. Bonnie made some amazing ball and all tackles, with Jed Salmon, to save the day.
The Boars then worked their way back up field with forwards, Ben Fish, Joey Ferrante and “Smiley” Thomas Humphries all making good go-forward runs.
They got it up near the left corner where once again, Bonnie pounced and side-stepped her way through the Vikings’ forward pack to score an excellent and well-deserved try to consolidate a good victory of 29 -21 to the U13 Boars.
They should now make the semi-finals despite there being one competition game still to play against competition leaders, Jindabyne.
