Batemans Bay High School celebrated NAIDOC last week, and held their very own colour run for the occasion.
The event was busy, bright and boisterous, with some creative costumes on display. It included all students – even those who were less than keen on running.
“There were students making the coloured powder with dye and corn starch, mixing it then leaving it to dry,” teacher Paul Carriage said.
Students crossing the finish line were enthusiastically coated with red, black and yellow powder. Mr Carriage said the school was keen to organise another run before the end of the year, with more colour. Teacher Keshava Inglis said the event was a great opportunity to bring students together and promote getting active while celebrating culture.
