The Eurobodalla Shire Council general manager Catherine Dale received a resounding endorsement from councillors voting on her annual performance review and contract extension.
Dr Dale’s contract was extended for five years at today’s ordinary council meeting.
Eurobodalla shire mayor Liz Innes said the vote acknowledged Dr Dale’s outstanding achievements against nine key performance indicators.
“Today’s decision leaves no doubt this council absolutely backs Dr Dale as the general manager we want to lead this organisation,” Cr Innes said.
“Councillors are very clear about what we want to achieve for our community and Dr Dale’s extensive management and leadership experience will help us deliver those outcomes.
She said Dr Dale had a proven track record of sound financial and organisational management, driving cultural change and implementing efficiencies and robust processes.
Dr Dale said she was looking forward to continuing to manage significant projects: the redevelopment of the Batemans Bay Mackay Park precinct, the southern water-storage facility, developing the Moruya Library as a centre of excellence for arts and culture, the expansion of Moruya Airport, and the implementation of a new information technology system.
“I will continue to build on our achievements and strive for a culture of excellent customer service, continuous improvement, innovation and economic development and effective advocacy for the community,” Dr Dale said.
