Young and old sugar-coated their breakfast at Orient Street to help the Salvos raise more dough for their annual Red Shield Appeal.
Jam-packed breakfasters finished off 90 sweet snacks –doughnut knock it until you’ve tried it – while throwing their money into the ring.
The donations were matched by the Bay Post/Moruya Examiner, for a total of $417.40.
The event frosted a sense of community, with the youngest and oldest – Mia Knight and Ian Lawrence – both Salvos.
Ian Lawrence has 59 years with the Salvos, but can't beat his wife, Gloria, whose mum signed her up aged two weeks - 77 years ago.
A final observation from Bay Post editor Kerrie O’Connor was: “If you are worried about numbers at doughnut day, invite the firies!”
