South Coast women are being encouraged to rummage through their underwear drawers for unwanted garments to donate to Women in Business’ Bra Drive.
The group is accepting donated bras until the end of June in support of the Uplift Project, which sends clean and washed bras to disadvantaged women in Australia and across the globe.
In 2016, Women in Business collected six boxes of bras for women in areas including the Northern Territory and Kimberley regions, the Philippines, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Uganda.
Bras of all sizes and types are welcomed along with a gold coin donation to assist Uplift with freight expenses.
Donations can be made at Batehaven Hardware and Garden Centre, MBC Employment Batemans Bay, Moruya Books and South East Coast Radiology Moruya.
Garments will also be collected at the Women in Business stall at the Batemans Bay Mother’s Day Classic at Corrigans Beach Reserve on Sunday, May 14.
