Time flies, and seasons change - the first Sunday in a new month is almost here, and that means that at Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens (ERBG) a guided walk will leave the Visitors Centre at 11am. The walk is a free service to visitors.
Next Sunday, March 5, your guide will take you on a leisurely walk to see plants that grow quite happily in our normally temperate climate but have survived the recent hot, dry conditions.
The gardens are fortunate to have a permanent water supply for native animals and birds due in part to a deliberate seepage from Deep Creek Dam.
A small lake was created in the centre of the ERBG and two ponds near the display gardens provide valuable wetland habitats as well as enhancing the recreational quality of the gardens.
You don’t need to book for a guided walk. Just come a few minutes before 11am.
All the ERBG guides are volunteers who have derived many years of pleasure from showing visitors around. The monthly Sunday walks usually last about one hour, ending just in time for lunch at the gardens café!
