There were 36 ladies who braved the heat last week , bowling in 3 games of fours and

two triple matches .

Winners on a drawn card – Karen Signor, Bess Holloway and Gwen Ware .

Runners-up – Robyn Butcher , Paula Hancock and Jenny Blyth .

President Maralyn White welcomed her sister Carol who was visiting , also Susan Xu

who is a new member , formerly from Tura Beach club .

Maralyn presented Olga Geshwend with her awards as runner-up in Club Consistency

and Championship Triples as she was unable to attend Presentation Night .

On the 24 January we played three games of Triples and two games of Pairs the winners for this week

First $700, 2nd $500, third $300 and best last game $100

One prize per team.

Entry $50 per team.

Cards drawn 8.30am with play to commence at 9.00am.

Placings will be decided on points - 2 points per win and 1 point per draw followed by aggregate margin.

Dress - Cub uniform or Tournament clothing.

Entries close Wednesday 12 April.

First 28 teams only accepted.

Last Tuesday, in very hot conditions, our 1st round of Major pairs was played.

Maree Larkin and Carol Harraway defeated Nicky Hardie and Gail West 15 - 12.

Joan Lotze and Sandy Cameron defeated Sue White and Erica Strahan 13 - 11.

Margaret Sillett and Cheryl Halls defeated Dawn Callender and Patty Manning.20 -13.

Round 2 will be played on Sunday morning.
