Police will prepare a report for the Coroner following a fatal truck accident on the Kings Highway on Saturday.
The driver, a 79-year-old man from Western Australia, was killed when his truck rolled on the Clyde Mountain at Monga just after 8am on January 28.
A Fire and Rescue spokesman said the driver was navigating the hairpin bends between Government Bend and ‘Pooh Corner’, near the River Forest Road intersection, when the truck rolled.
He said the cabin of the truck was crushed and the driver died at the scene.
Police said the truck was carrying three forklifts and was headed towards Batemans Bay when the accident occurred.
The identity of the driver has not been released.
