Two Eurobodalla beaches have been closed for the third day in a row after a shark sighting on Friday morning.
Lifeguards have closed beaches at North Head and Broulee on January 13. They will reassess the situation at 10 am.
Lifeguarding Services Australia chief Stan Wall said a 2.5 metre white-pointer was seen.
Mr Wall said the Westpac Lifesaver 23 helicopter has been deployed and Jetskis launched to monitor the shark.
It’s the fourth sighting since January 5 and Mr Wall said lifeguards now believe it to be the same shark.
Beaches were also closed on Wednesday and Thursday this week, 10 metres from shore.
Far South Coast Surf Lifesavers said the shark seen on January 13 was “deep off Moruya”.
Updates as they come to hand.
