Police arrested and charged a 45-year-old man with high range drink driving after stopping the car he was driving on Beach Road, Batemans Bay on Sunday evening. Police were conducting stationary roadside breath testing when the driver was stopped at 9.55pm. He was taken to Batemans Bay Police Station and will appear at Batemans Bay Local Court on July 6.

A Suzuki outboard boat motor was found on the sand on the Clyde River, North Batemans Bay on Sunday. It was handed in to Batemans Bay Police Station as lost property. Anyone with information should phone police on 4472 0099.

Batemans Bay Police arrested a 26-year-old man for shoplifting in Batemans Bay on Sunday. 

The man was found to have stolen grocery items from three supermarkets in Batemans Bay CBD that day. 

Criminal infringement notices for larceny totalling $900 have been issued.

Batemans Bay Detectives seized five cannabis plants and a small quantity of cannabis leaf from a residential property in Myamba Parade, Surfside, on Tuesday June 9. 

A 46-year-old man is assisting police with enquiries.

Sometime during the evening of June 8 or the early morning of June 9, a restaurant was broken into along the Moruya River waterfront. 

A window was smashed to gain entry. Police are investigating the incident and conducting forensic testing.

A Mazda ute parked in a residential property in Beach Road, Batemans Bay, was broken into during the early morning of Wednesday June 10. 

A passenger window was smashed to gain entry. Police are investigating.
