The event will feature ten community ‘stars’, who will each learn a dance routine from their dance instructor and perform in front of judging panel on the gala night.
Last year’s event was a huge success, raising over $22,000 for Cancer Council NSW. The goal this year is $25,000.
Cancer Council NSW community engagement officer Kate Brett said the event was a fun way for the community to support their favourite celebrity and raise money to help Cancer Council NSW continue to deliver information and support services in the Eurobodalla.
“Cancer Council is only able to provide these services thanks to the generosity of the community and I’d like to thank everyone involved,” Ms Brett said.
Ms Brett said the event was fortunate to have many of last year’s production team donate their time again this year: TJ Productions, Victoria Haberley, Graeme Thom, Vickie Mennie, and Kerrie O’Connor.
The list of stars and dancers are listed on the event website and Facebook page and each star will have their own fundraising page for online donations.
Tickets to the The Stars of Eurobodalla Dance for Cancer show and dinner are $60 per person and available from the Tomakin Sports and Social Club: 4474 7000.
