The Seahawks started the game well, but were unable to convert on the scoreboard in the first quarter, managing only four behinds to trail by four points at the first break.
However, they came out firing in the second term, kicking five goals to two with the aid of a strong breeze to go into the half-time break with a 16-point lead.
Under pressure and against the wind in the third quarter, the ever-reliable backline lead by captain Sam Millynn and coach Michael Kenny kept the Rams goalless for the quarter and kicked out to a 28-point lead at the last break.
Quick out of the blocks in the last quarter with two early goals to Ross Hummel, the Seahawks looked to be sailing home.
However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing, as the Rams were able to kick three last quarter goals to have the Seahawks supporters with their hearts in their mouths.
The Seahawks managed to hold their lead though, running out with the 10.12 (72) to 7.8 (50) victory.
Jackson Maloney was a standout in the midfield for the Seahawks, whilst Graham Enright was once again impressive at centre-half forward.
Ross Hummel and Shaun Green finished with three goals each, while Jamie Kemp chimed in for two.
The Seahawks will now play the ANU Griffins in the Elimination Final on Sunday at South Oval in Canberra.
