Far South Coast police said officers stopped a 25-year-old on George Bass Drive after he failed to stop at a stop sign just before midnight on March 17.
Police said the driver underwent a roadside breath test and returned a positive reading for alcohol.
He was taken to Batemans Bay Police Station for secondary testing and recorded a special range reading, between 0.02 and 0.05, as a p-plate driver.
He is due to appear in Batemans Bay Local Court at a later date.
