A Eurobodalla Shire Council spokeswoman said the 2.6 metre extension would be built from concrete block and painted to match the existing structure. The accessible toilet will be also be made available to people with a disability after hours, using their MLAK key.
She said a local contractor would complete the work and council had spoken with the Broulee Mossy Point Community Association about opportunities for the community to extend the mosaic work on the front of the block and the mural on the back.
The toilets remain open for use during the construction period which would be finished by the end of June.
