The U11s side, which won a premiership last year in the U10s division, are on track to win the minor premiership for 2017.
Former club president Ronnie Collier said the U11s were a “serious chance of going back-to-back”.
Luke Gallen, a speedy outside back who scored three tries in last year’s grand final, will pace the U11s.
Gallen didn’t start the season with the team, as he originally decided to focus on Aussie Rules.
“About five weeks ago, he’d had enough and wanted to play with his mates again.” said Mr Collier.
The U13s side will also play at Hanging Rock this Saturday, and they too are guaranteed to play finals.
A win over the Uni-Norths Barbarians could vault them to second on the ladder.
“These two sides have developed a rivalry over the last couple of years,” said Mr Collier.
This rivalry includes a 2015 Grand Final, and a spiteful match to open the season this year.
“We saw two yellow cards and one red in the game,” said Mr Collier.
“We beat them 12-0 that day, and we’re hoping to repeat that result.”
The side is led by Bonnie Brewer, one of the rare female players in the U13s competition.
Mr Collier said Bonnie was an “extremely talented player” who will progress into the Boars’ women’s side in the near future.
The U11s will kick off at 9:30am, followed by the U13s at 10:30am.
If you have some spare time this Saturday morning, get down to Hanging Rock to cheer on our Junior Boars.
