The ICT Security Engineer will assist project and capability teams to design and implement security functions for their project deliverables. This will be a hands-on role specialising in systems and infrastructure security.
The successful candidate will need highly effective negotiation and communication skills, and a strong background in information security, compliance assessments –including a working knowledge of international and government security compliance frameworks and standards such as the PSPF, ISM and ISO27001 among others.
The program of work has multiple projects which range in size. The successful candidate may be required to work across one or more of these projects, external stakeholder teams

Location: The role is based in Canberra.
Contract terms: Initial Term: 12 months (1 September 2022 - 31 August 2023)
Extension options: 3 x 12-month periods at the discretion of the Commonwealth.
SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.
