They trekked the mountains in Nepal, did a joy flight and saw Mt Everest, travelled from Dehli to Kathmandu. They endured a 14-hour trip on the bus to Kathmandu on the world’s worst road.
Donna-Marie’s highlight of the trip was a day visit to an orphanage in Pokhara, Nepal, where they enjoyed playing with the children and also helping them out with their computer. The best part of this visit was being able to organise the orphanage’s first ever connection to the Internet.

Enjoy your life… it has an expiration date!
The annual Seaside Carnivale, held at Corrigans Beach on Sunday, was a great success, with one of, if not the best, crowds in its history. The sun was shining, the cold winds had dropped, and people of all ages were out and about, enjoying the many stalls, music and dance and other events, like the spanner toss. Congratulations to Robin Innes and her hardworking committee for all the work they put into making this a great event.
Happy birthday to Coral Lawrence, for her birthday on Wednesday. Hope you had a great one, Coral.
Kathie Blankley and her associates from the Mental Health Department put on a great Open Day for their clients last Friday at the Olive Tree Café in Batemans Bay. They had organised a barbecue, music, painting, nail treatments and a Tai Chi demonstration during the Open Day. A great day was had by all.
I’ve been told there’s a local lady from Moruya currently in China, competing with the Australian team in Dragon Boat racing.
Twenty of the guys and girls from the local Friendship Group are just about to start packing for their annual cruise to the Pacific islands. I’m sure there will be some great stories when they arrive home. During their trip, they will be caught up with all the Halloween festivities and I’m sure a witch or two will be attending.
