The school’s student representative council organised combined activities for Harmony Day and Purple Day for Epilepsy. Students learnt about epilepsy and investigated what harmony meant to them, in a day filled with activities.
School student Jackson Baker suffered from epilepsy and his mother Renee Baker was overjoyed the school celebrated Purple Day, for the fifth year running.
Ms Baker said Jackson had been having seizures since he was 15 months old and, despite treatment, they continue.
“My son Jackson is so supported by everyone at school and it means a lot the school raises awareness each year,” Ms Baker said.
Over 200 dollars was raised during the day for Epilepsy Action. The money will go toward epilepsy research.
