Children and families battling serious illness are the big winners from the sale of a Potato Point house today.
Proceeds from the sale of the property on September 30 will go to Ronald McDonald Charity House, which offers accommodation and support for families throughout Australia, including at Rosedale’s Fiona Lodge.
The house was originally going to be auctioned this long weekend, in a joint effort from Aristotle Stavros, for Raine & Horne, Batemans Bay, and Karen Herrick, for LJ Hooker Moruya/Bodalla.
However, a keen buyer got in first, paying more than the $300,000 it had been expected to sell for.
“A passionate buyer has purchased it for more than the asking price, “ Ms Herrick said.
“We are thrilled with the price the property has achieved for a very worthy cause.
“They are a Sydney couple who love the Bodalla area and are looking forward to moving down.”
