Independent, non-government organisation My Choice Matters will host the session on Wednesday, May 10, from 10am to 2.30pm, at the Catalina Country Club.
The workshop aims to help people with a disability get the most out of the changing disability system.
The Get More Skills: A Good Life workshop will discuss the NDIS to assist carers and families to plan for the changes through interactive activities and take-home tools.
Ann Murphy, who has travelled around the state assisting people to become better informed about the different options available through the NDIS, will facilitate the workshop.
“We give people the chance to really think about their lives and the things that are important to them as individuals, rather than just what is on offer,” Ms Murphy said.
“They start considering hopes and dreams that they had to put to the side due to a lack of opportunities.
“People leave the workshops feeling they have a practical starting point and that they know how to move forward towards a good life.”
