Moruya Fire and Rescue captain Mark Gould said the unit was called at about 8.55am and by the time they arrived the shed was engulfed by flames.
Crews from Narooma Fire and Rescue and Tuross Rural Fire Service also attended.
Captain Gould said the shed was only 5-10 metres away from the house, and it was lucky the residents of the property were at home at the time.
A car parked at the side of the shed was destroyed in the blaze.
Cricket gear belonging to a local team, together with the residents’ fridge, freezer and books that were stored in the shed were also lost.
Captain Gould said the cause of the fire was not known.
“There was a fair bit of heat in it,” he said.
