A Fire and Rescue NSW spokesperson said firefighters from Moruya, along with Broulee and Tuross Head RFS, were called to Nelson Parade just before 9.30am on October 24.
Upon arrival, the upstairs of the building was well alight, with all occupants accounted for.
“Crews from both Fire and Rescue NSW and RFS worked quickly to contain the fire to upstairs,” he said.
“With a risk from live power, crews withdrew from the building after the fire was knocked down.
“Once Essential Energy disconnected power to the building, Fire and Rescue NSW and RFS crews re-entered and extinguished flare ups and hot spots.”
The spokesperson said it was a “good result considering the circumstances”, with firefighters saving some items for the owners.
