Timewell again took out the novice and open events before being crowned Miss Figure – Overall Champion at her second event, on Sunday, March 23.
“Going in to Canberra, I wasn’t actually planning to compete in the opens,” Timewell said.
“My coach told me to do it. But once I entered, that was it, I wanted to do well.
“I wasn’t going just to hang out, and I knew I had to put in the hard yards,” Timewell said.
The mother of seven is now preparing for the national titles in Sydney in six weeks time.
“The Canberra competition was a step up from my first one,” Timewell said.
“I am going to keep going with it. I think if I build a bit more muscle and get a bit leaner I might have a chance at the nationals.”
Timewell says she will continue to exactly what she is told by her coach, Ken Ross.
“Each week, he analyses what I need to tweek,” Timewell said.
“I send him my all measurement and some photos. He graphs it all out to see determine how his last changes to my diet or workout have changed my measurements.”
