Neil Williams will take on the role of first grade coach, renewing his long association with the club after Richard Bradbury took the Sharks to the minor premiership and grand final this season.
Williams’ record is an outstanding one with 10 years of coaching Moruya first grade in the past, a stint that produced two of the club’s three premierships.
“In addition, he brings a passion and commitment to the role, and seems always to get the best out of his playing ranks,” club spokesman John Cornall said.
Tim Weyman was named as the club’s under 18s coach.
“Tim brings significant experience to the role, having been coached through the ranks of SG Ball, Jersey Flegg, reserve grade as well as playing at first grade NRL level,” Cornall said.
“Tim is the current captain of the Moruya Sharks and is keen to help develop the next generation of players.
“Neil Williams will work closely with Tim in a mentoring role, with this combination sure to provide plenty of development for the under-18 side.
“The club, while excited about the new appointments, wishes to thank and acknowledge the excellent work by retiring coach Richard Bradbury, who developed a strong team spirit and a great club atmosphere at the Sharks.”
Meanwhile, the club will be hosting a barbecue at Ack Weyman Oval on Thursday, November 15, at 6pm, with all current and prospective players invited to attend.
