his number smashed the previous attendance record of 166 and shows just what a phenomenon the parkrun movement has become.
As well as plenty of locals, there were visitors from all over the country and even a runner from Scotland. Susan Lindgren is such a keen parkrunner that she completed the Edinburgh Christmas Day parkrun and made it to Batemans Bay by December 29 looking fresh and keen to run. We’re guessing her Edinburgh run was a few degrees cooler.
For the last couple of weeks parkrunners have been asked to write down their running goals for 2019. The goals have ranged from staying upright and hoping knees will last to half and full marathons.
All runners and walkers are welcome to the 5km course every Saturday morning at 7.50 am for an 8am start. You can register online at www.parkrun.com.au to obtain a barcode which you must print and bring along with you to get a recorded result.
The venue is Rotary Park near the Marina roundabout in Batemans Bay.
