A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said emergency crews were called to the scene on Beach Road, near Pelican Point, at 12.10pm on November 30 after the vehicles collided.
The spokesperson said the motorcyclist, believed to be a man aged in his 60s, was flown to Canberra Hospital via the NSW Ambulance helicopter with possible head injuries and lacerations to his left leg and chin.
The man was reported to be in a stable condition.
A police spokesperson said officers from the Crash Investigation Unit were looking into the circumstances around the crash.
Police said the motorcyclist was riding east when the collision occurred, causing the rider to come off his bike and sustain serious injuries.
District Inspector Angela Burnell urged all drivers to be aware of motorcycles.
"I am urging all road users to be motorcycle aware - whether you're on the back of the cycle, or driving in the lane next a motorbike rider - road safety is everyone's responsibility,” Inspector Burnell said.
“We are seeing motorcycles over-represented in local crash statistics in recent times.
“At this time of the year, our roads are busier than ever and people need to be considerate of others and stick to the road rules.
“No one wants to experience tragedy from road trauma at anytime of the year, but especially as we approach Christmas."
Beach Road, between Flora Crescent and Pacific Street, was closed to traffic in both directions until around 4pm that afternoon.
A Eurobodalla Shire Council spokesperson said detours were in place around Bavarde Avenue and Flora Crescent while investigations took place.
Traffic control was in place for several hours and motorists reported significant delays in the area at the time.
