Maximum temperatures of 26 degrees are expected in Batemans Bay and 23 degrees in Narooma.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, a trough over inland New South Wales is moving east and will bring a southerly change to southern parts of the coast this morning, then central coastal areas this evening, before moving over northern parts of the coast during Thursday.
Forecast for Wednesday until midnight is for northerly winds of 15 to 25 knots tending northwest to northeasterly in the early afternoon then tending south to southeasterly in the late afternoon.
Seas of 1.5 to 2.5 metres are forecast, decreasing to 1 to 1.5 metres around midday, then increasing to 1 to 2 metres by early evening.
The swell is expected to be aast to northeasterly, of about a 1 metre.
Weather is expected to be partly cloudy with the chance of a thunderstorm late this afternoon and evening.
The NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) said the warm and windy weather will increase the risk of fire.
The Eurobodalla Shire’s fire danger rating on Wednesday is high and a total fire ban is in place.
