Batemans Bay Bushwalkers enjoyed two very different walks last week. The spectacular scenery on Saturday’s bushwalk was proof enough to all 19 bushwalkers of why they chose to live where they live! The walk started under a clear blue sky at McKenzies beach, and was soon heading on to Pretty Point.

From there it was a series of up, over, then down many of the headlands on the way north. Lunch was spent on Lilli Pilli Beach, before once again heading north across another headland to the cars at Circuit Beach.
Midweek, 13 walkers took the forests and gullies west of Dalmeny for a 10km hike through stands of flowering wattle. The highlight of this walk is the winding overgrown trail beside Lawlers Creek, through lush vegetation, with glimpses through giant trees of the high rocky cliffs on the opposite bank.
