Dr Baker is a historian and documentary maker who researches Australian women’s history and media history.
She is the author of Australian Women War Reporters: Boer War to
Vietnam (2015) and has also worked in the media and museums sector as a curator, writer, researcher, oral historian and producer.
She will demonstrate the ways women listeners actively participated in broadcasting, and shaped program content and style.
It is on at Moruya Surf Life Saving Club on September 10 from 2.00 pm -3.30 pm (afternoon tea included) and it’s free.
