From the kick-off the Boars drove the ball long and with a good chase and the Boars had Yass in their own 22.
Yass worked their way down field but great defence saw the Boars force an error.
From a very dominate scrum by the Boars the backs worked their way down to the Yass 22 where Xandrea picked up the ball and with a strong run scored the first try which Lachlan converted.
From the kick-off a mistake by the Boars had Yass on the attack.
However, some brutal defence from the Boars and another turnover gave Luke an opportunity to race away to score the Boars’ second try.
Desmond took the kick-off and charged downfield but a lost ball gave Yass a chance to attack.
But Mason, Will, Cooper and Kobe’s hard-hitting defence and clearing out had Yass going backwards and gave the backs room to move.
Great passing from Jacob, Lachlan and Luke put the speedy Sam away for the third try and a half-time lead of 17-0 to the Junior Boars.
The second half started well for Yass as they pressured the Boars’ line for the first six minutes.
But great defence from all the Junior Boars held Yass out.
Yass knocked the ball on 10 metres out from the Boars line but the clearing kick hit a Boars player giving a penalty to Yass.
But more brutal defence led to another scrum to the Boars.
Luke's next clearing kick went more up than long.
The Yass centre took it on the full only to have Lachlan (Nugget) come through and take it out of his hands and sprint off downfield 90 metres to score for a 22-0 lead.
From the kick-off Yass had some more chances to score but great cover defence from Levi and Zac and the hard hitting in the middle from all the forwards made it impossible to break the Boars line.
With not much time left and Yass again pressuring the Boars line, Lachlan picked up a loose ball and headed downfield with Luke in support.
The Yass chasers couldn't stop his second runaway try which he converted for the 29-0 final score.
Coaches Ronnie Collier and Ash Kenny and manager Brendon Campbell said the team had done it tough this season.
“We only have 12 players and its 12 aside rugby so no-one gets a rest any game and most of these players hadn't played before,” Collier said.
All at the Boars rugby wish our mighty under 10s good luck and also the Broulee under 13s the best of luck this Saturday.
Boars u10s would like to thank Queanbeyan whites for a well-run day.
