Advocates for an indoor aquatic centre were also out in force, with families dressing up in swim gear to show their support for a new facility.
Batemans Bay Indoor Aquatic Centre committee member and ringmaster for the day, Carolyn Harding, said the day was about uniting the community towards a common goal.
“The main aim of today is to make people aware of all the different uses for an aquatic centre,” she said.
“There are also a lot of people who are not sure if we are going to get a pool, but I want them to believe we will.”
Included as part of the day were novelty races, face painting and cake stalls.
