This didn’t deter Daniel Beby who ran away into the distance, and the sub 17-minute club for the 3rd time in a row.
Bragging rights were short-lived, as he was the only Beby family member not to record a PB.
Riley Beby smashed his PB with a fantastic 23.46, and brother Mitchell and mum Michelle also managed PB’s.
Following Daniel across the line were Neil Mackay and regular run director Gavin Mackay.
Gavin put up a respectable 19.47 for his first attempt after a prolonged injury absence.
Lauren Evans was first female over the line once again with a steady 22.03, followed Kathy Overend who managed a PB in the wind to record 24.17.
Third female was Margaret Carr in a time of 24.27.
Margaret also had the honour of achieving the best age grade result in the field, which rates each runner’s performance against the age world record for the same distance.
