The Batemans Bay unit responded to the fire in grass and bushland on the eastern side of Glenella Road across from the BMX track at Catalina at 3.20am.
The fire covered about 10 square metres and it took the crew between 10 and 15 minutes to extinguish it.
A responding firefighter believes it was probably deliberately lit.
“I didn’t see anything else that could have lit it, but I didn’t see anyone light it,” he said.
“We went to another fire there on Tuesday.”
