During the week leading up to National Tree Day on July 31, students from Batemans Bay High School, Sunshine Bay Public and Broulee Public will participate in Schools Tree Day, where they will learn how to plant and care for native seedlings.
Landcare groups will be planting, too, with a planting day at Tomakin on Friday, July 29.
Council will celebrate National Tree Day with one of its popular plant swaps at the Eurobodalla Botanic Gardens from 10am to 2pm on Sunday, July 31.
Community members are encouraged to participate in the plant swap by removing environmental weeds from their garden, placing them in a bag and bringing them to the council stall at the Botanic Gardens to exchange for native plants.
