The one-stop shop for NSW Government services was welcomed in Batemans Bay last year and will now be extended to the Moruya township.
Eurobodalla Shire Councillors agreed at yesterday’s meeting to lease part of the foyer of the council administration building to Service NSW.
The foyer will be redesigned to accommodate council and the government services.
Service NSW provides access to Roads and Maritime Services, Fair Trading, Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages, Housing NSW and Family and Community Services.
Councillors agreed to a two-year lease with an option for a further year. The new fit-out is expected to start in October and be complete by Christmas.
This is about convenience and efficiency. This will provide a one stop shop that locals have been asking for.

The Roads and Maritime Services office in Ford Street, Moruya, will close once the re-location is complete.
The building footprint will not change, but the internal layout of the foyer will be reconfigured to include a Service NSW service desk and waiting area, as well as kiosks for online services.
Council’s customer service will move to the space directly in front of the public entry doors and Service NSW will be located in the area to the right of the entry doors.
Two car spaces will be designated for driver testing in Vulcan Street, on the golf course side.
Bega MP Andrew Constance was pleased the two services were willing to work together for the benefit of residents.
“Service NSW provides access to more than 800 Government transactions in one location, giving residents access to transactions and services not previously available locally,” he said.
“This is about convenience and efficiency, it’s about reducing the hassle of dealing with Government, this will provide a one-stop-shop that locals have been asking for.”
