All walks begin at 11am sharp and last 1 to 1½ hours, or less, depending on ability.
Afterwards enjoy a BYO picnic lunch together. Bring a chair/seat to be comfortable, good walking shoes, protection from the weather and a drink. Come walking, make new friends, and enjoy yourself. Please note that the walks are never cancelled due to the weather.
.AUGUST 3: MOSSY POINT: ANCHOR LOOKOUT – CORONATION DRIVE
From the north, turn left off George Bass Drive into Annetts Parade, which veers to the left just before Candlagan Creek. Continue to The Anchor lookout, which is the road to the right and above the boat ramp road. From the south, turn right off George Bass Drive into Broulee Rd, follow this until you cross Candlagan Creek, turn sharp right into Annetts Parade, then continue to "The Anchor" lookout, which is the road to the right and above the boat ramp road. The walk will be around the headland down to and across Candalagan Creek and along the walk/cycleway, and then return.
AUGUST 10: MORUYA: YARRAGEE ROAD, RIVER END
Take the Princes Highway to the Vulcan St/Campbell St roundabout at Moruya, then turn into Campbell Street (a right turn for those from north of Moruya, but straight through from the south). Follow this street west for about 2 km to the top of the hill, and turn right into Yarragee Road. Follow Yarragee Road to the end, and then drive further along the track to the parking area. The walk will be back along Yarragee Road to Ted Hunt Drive and return for lunch and a cuppa.
AUGUST 17: TUROSS HEAD: TUROSS BOATSHED—WALK AROUND AREA
This week meet at the Tuross Boatshed & Cafe. To get there; turn off the Princes Highway into Hector McWilliam Drive. Follow Hector McWilliam Drive for about 5 km to the T-junction GIVE WAY sign, turn right, and then turn into the second road on the right, Trafalgar Road. Follow Trafalgar Road to the picnic area near the Boatshed to park cars. From there, the walk will be around the area, including Chatham Park, returning to the picnic area for lunch.
AUGUST 24: BUMBO ROAD, NEAR TRUNKETABELLA
The Bumbo Road turnoff is on the west side of the Princes Highway just north of the Tuross River Bridge or 5.9 km south of Hector McWilliam Drive (Tuross Head road).
Drive south from Moruya on the Princes Highway, past the Trunketabella Gardens and across Trunketabella Creek, and then take the first turn to the right into Bumbo Road. After 1.4 km from the highway, take the right-hand road branch up the hill. At 3.7km from the highway park in the open area on the left beside Bumbo Creek. The walk will be 2 km further along Bumbo Road then return for lunch.
AUGUST 31: SOUTH DURRAS: NEAR MURRAMARANG—OLD COAST ROAD
Head north on the Princes Highway over the Clyde River Bridge at Batemans Bay. About 9.5km north of the bridge turn right into Durras Road. Drive for about 6 km after which the road becomes Dilkera St.
Follow Dilkera St and turn left into Banyandah St. Follow Banyandah St until Murramarang Caravan Park and turn left before and beside it. Drive up to and THROUGH the boat ramp car park to the picnic ground and park there, near the toilet block. Come along and enjoy a walk along the old coast road and then back to the picnic area for lunch and a cuppa.
