Their faces are obscured by bandanas. One man holds a hammer. Seconds later, one of the men kicks in the door.
At home that night on May 5, according to NSW Police, was a family of four including a nine-year-old girl, a 45-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man.
They allege the hooded men forced another resident, a 51-year-old man, to the ground and fired a shot into a television.
Two of the men took the keys to a Holden Commodore and sped off in the car, before dumping and setting it alight at Oakhurst.
Police believe the home invasion was targeted and gang-related.
They released CCTV footage of the incident on Tuesday in a bid to identify the men who carried out the attack.
Three of the men are described as being of Caucasian appearance while the fourth is said to be of Pacific Islander or Maori appearance.
In early July, police conducting a routine firearms search at a home in Blackett in western Sydney found items they believe may be linked to the incident, including cash, steroids, laptops, Rebels bikie gang patches and a stolen motorbike.
They also found a black bag nearby containing a shortened shotgun, a loaded pistol and ammunition.
Police released CCTV footage in April as part of their investigation into an unrelated incident involving the murder of a senior Rebels motorcycle gang member last year.
Mark Easter, sergeant at arms of the Rebels OMCG Sydney chapter, was shot dead and his body dumped just off the Pacific Highway north of Sydney last year.
He was formerly a member of the Nomads.
