Eurobodalla teenagers, Luc Hill (Moruya Sharks) and Teig Wilton (Narooma Devils), both made strong contributions, as the U18 NSW Country side thrashed WA, 60-0, at NIB stadium on the weekend. A curtain raiser to the NRL game between Manly and Auckland, the visitors took control, as they set about steamrolling their Western counterparts. Despite the size of the final margin, Luc said it was still a challenging game.

“The score line didn’t really reflect how intense the game was,” he said.
“I definitely didn’t expect a score line like that, but we began to really gel as a team during the week, which showed through in the game.”
For Wilton, who scored a try on the day, the trip has been about more than playing football.
“What I’ve enjoyed most about the experience is meeting new people, and making long term friends,” he said.
