Among those taking to the skies are Eurobodalla-based four way canopy formation team, K4, who will represent Australia in September.
Consisting of five members including a cameraman, the aim of a four way team is to complete a series of formations within two minutes after each opening their parachutes.
The K4 team have invited World Champion, Chris Gay to coach them on their road to success.
Member and Moruya resident, Julia McConnel, said her home town holds certain advantages as a training ground.
“Moruya is a great location to prepare because the conditions suit us,” she said.
“Sometimes in bigger areas, it can be difficult to navigate the air space so its good to have quieter area like Moruya to practice.”

McConnel is set to take part in her fifth world championships this year, having previously competed at events in Dubai, Bosnia, the Netherlands and Taiwan.
Her best result was a silver in the two-way formation event at the 2014 competition
Having been involved in the sport for the last two decades, she said the World Championships are more than just a competition.
“It’s a chance to catch up with old friends and also meet the new generation,” he said.
She will be joined in training by team mates Craig Bennett, Scott Brown, Richie Dronow and Chris Garcia.
Veteran Classic Accuracy jumper Graeme Windsor is also joining the team from Canberra to train in his discipline whilst enjoying the coastal views Moruya has to offer. “The conditions here are challenging, which will put the Accuracy Team in good steed for the competition in Chicago,” he said.
Spectators are welcome to come and watch the team train and even get amongst the action with a tandem skydive on the same plane.
