Rocks now sit on the concrete, which is smashed to pieces.
Broulee resident Sue Wallensky wants to see the breakwall fixed quickly.
"It could pose a danger for those who regularly use the breakwall for fishing and general sightseeing. The close camping area is very popular,” she said.
Eurobodalla Shire Council’s director of infrastructure Warren Sharpe said the rockwall was owned and maintained by the NSW Government (Department of Primary Industries (DPI) – Crown Lands).
"We understand they have already inspected the wall and are determining the appropriate actions needed to address the damage,” he said.
A spokeswoman for the Department of Primary Industries – Lands said staff were “aware of the damage to the Moruya River training wall and will schedule repair work as soon as possible”.
During the storm, the Far South Coast experienced huge seas, which smashed infrastructure, including the Tathra Wharf, the Wallage Lake boardwalk, the Moruya Beach viewing platform and the Bawley Point Gantry.
A 17m wave recorded at Eden was a record.
