At Bill Smyth Oval, a late try to the Sharks sealed a 24-22 victory against Narooma, with the side forced to dig deep to maintain their unbeaten run in the competition.
The Tigers also had their hands full against the second-placed Bega Roosters.
Playing on a waterlogged surface at Mackay Park, the Tigers showed they were able to match it with the Roosters for certain periods but were ultimately unsuccessful, going down 30-10 in a spiteful encounter.
An injury to Tigers winger, Ron Brown, forced the players off the ground midway through the second half, as the ambulance was called.
When play resumed, Bega scored consecutive tries to seal a 20-point victory.
