Marilyn Gibson, president, initiated the challenge idea in 2015 where a particular topic or theme was chosen and members produced work depicting that theme. In 2015 the topics were Poppies, Dragonfly, Snowflakes and Spring.
The challenges promote creativity and encourage members to share their skills and expertise with others through a variety of embroidery techniques, both traditional and modern. The next theme “Colour” will be judged at the July meeting.
Many of these items will be on display at the Bodalla Embroidery exhibition which will be held this year on October 1-2 in the Bodalla Memorial Hall. There will be a sales table and raffles.
