Attending will be local, young farmers from the region and also the 2015 Young Farmers of the Year, Erika Watson and Hayden Druce from Epicurean Harvest in the Blue Mountains.
Mr Bailey said farming as a career for young people was more accessible these days but definitely was a career requiring a long-term commitment.
“New people bring new ideas that may not have been explored before,” he said.
The festival continues and on Saturday morning at Riverside Park, Moruya behind the markets the marquee speakers will tackle the theme of Nature's Superheroes by discussing and showing soil microbes; by making sauerkraut and other veggie ferments; and by ABC gardening host Costa Georgiadis explaining why the whole human biome is so crucial to human health.
For kids there'll be old-fashioned games with Costa like potato and spoon race. Or they might like to see real soil microbes under a microscope projected large onto the marquee screen. Local food stalls will satisfy your hunger and thirst needs while quite a few local schools will also be hosting activities for kids like screen printing and making insect homes.
And the Riverfeast on Saturday night will be a gourmet delight of local produce. Which Natural Superhero will you come dressed as? Bees butterflies and microbes all welcome. A few tickets still available. Ring Marie on 0428 854 212.
