At 10am Batemans Bay Highway Patrol Police saw a Toyota Celica overtake two vehicles over double unbroken lines on George Bass Drive, Surf Beach.
Police pursued and the Celica entered the Sunshine Bay Road roundabout, skidded, lost control and hit the police vehicle.
The driver fled but a female passenger of the vehicle was arrested and taken to Batemans Bay Police Station.
