Eurobodalla Shire Council is undertaking the work to create more room for pedestrians in the CBD.
Council’s work manager Tony Swallow said several signs and street poles would be relocated.
“The garden beds will be rearranged along the length of the footpath opposite the Village Centre. Moving the poles and rearranging the plantings will improve how Perry Street looks and works,” he said.
Mr Swallow said the northern entrance to the paid parking area would be closed during the works, which were due to be finished before Easter.
“Detours for pedestrian safety will be in place and every effort will be made to minimise disruptions to traffic,” he said.
