The first of the U3A Saturday morning talks for 2016 will be held on February 13 at the Batemans Bay Community Centre, and is sure to attract a lot of attention.
The presenter of this talk, Glenn Kolomeitz, is a well-known authority on the subject of terrorism and insurgency.
He is the CEO and state secretary of the NSW RSL, a lawyer and returned serviceman with operational experience in East Timor and Afghanistan.
He speaks regularly on these matters to community groups in the South Coast area.
Glenn previously spoke to a U3A gathering here in September last year, talking on that occasion about the usefulness of international law as a weapon in the fight against terrorism, and his presentation was highly regarded.
We are fortunate that he has made his time available to us again.
U3A's Saturday talks are open to the public, but people wanting to attend should contact Ross Thomas at ross_thomas@optusnet.com.au or on 0402 132 698 to register their interest.
More than 40 people have already registered to attend this talk, reflecting the community's concern to know more about the serious developments that have been taking place in this area.
Entry costs is $2, both for U3A members and the general public.
