Jarrad, 26, played in the inaugural tournament, while Rhys, 21, played last year, but the brothers now have their first chance to play in the fast and furious format together.

However, with nine-minute halves and a totally different style, the older of the two said he would have to wait and see how it plays out.

“It will be good, I don’t know how much time we will get on there together, it is a very different game,” Jarrad said.

“The longest length of time blokes are on there is for two or three minutes. It’s pretty quick, swap blokes like a touch footy game.”

Rhys, who is yet to make his NRL debut, said he was enthusiastic about returning and to start playing again.

“It was awesome over there, it is really exciting,” Rhys said.

“There is a crazy atmosphere at the stadium and when you’re on the field you haven’t got much time to think.

“I’m pretty sure all the boys are excited to get a game, whether it is a different type of game, it’s just football.”

Jarrad said the concept was good for fans, but also knew of the risks playing the up-tempo game.

“It is good fun, but you have seen big injuries come out of it, especially in that first year, because it is so different to what we usually do,” he said.

“You have so much space around you and it is more about individual efforts.Different clubs go for different approaches. We don’t send too many of our big guns.”
