Lifesaver 23 and the SES flew over the area on Wednesday, January 6, and shared this video of the former Cadgee crossing.
The Cadgee and Nerragundah areas, south-west of Moruya, and Bodalla have been particularly hard hit in the shire’s flooding crisis.
Belowra resident Yvonne Thomson said her family family farm was flooded in with only intermittent satellite coverage.
She said they had recorded 295mm of rain so far and water was over the bridges and camping area.
“The water is off Belimbla Bridge and Gulph Creek Bridge this morning so residents and visitors can exit to the coast via Nerrigundah and then have to take the Ridge Road out, as Eurobodalla/Tyrone Bridge is still under,” Mrs Thomson said on Wednesday at midday.
She said the only exit via Numerella and Cooma was blocked as Woila Creek Causeway was “a torrent”.
On the bright side, there was “no threat of bush fires”.
